The keeper's house serves as the home for the commander of Coast Guard Sector Southeastern New England. The grounds are open to the public; the lighthouse tower is open only during scheduled open houses. Lighthouse tours are conducted by United States Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 11-2.
