Accessibility: The station is closed to the public.
The lighthouse can be seen fairly well from the nearby road (Bayview
Ave.). It can be seen distantly fron the pier at Salem Willows
Park in Salem, but is best seen by boat. The Coast Guard opens
the lighthouse for tours on a Sunday each August as part of Beverly Homecoming Week.
On
Saturday, September 19 and Sunday, September 27, 2009, the lighthouse
will be open as part of the Essex National Heritage Commission’s Trails
& Sails event. Tours of the lighthouse will given by members of the
Coast Guard Auxiliary from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m on both days. You can find more information by clicking here.
