Accessibility: The lighthouse is the residence of the Vinalhaven Town Manager. The grounds are open, but please respect the privacy of the residents. The lighthouse is not open to the public.

Other buildings still standing: 1857 keeper's house, 1903 oil house

Active U.S. Coast Guard aid to navigation.
